Hi, I have installed new windows 7 week ago, since then I'm unable to install nvidia drivers with their installer. It says that drivers can't find compatible hardware.

Also tried DDU , and installing new drivers, didn't work either.

I have tried searching on web, so I found a solution that didn't work for me, was about changing some file inside Nvidia folders that create while installing driver, but the thing is that I don't even have them.

Another thing I found was to search up device manager and find little triangles( problems), I had no errors.

So eventually i installed driver with Driver Booster 5, but I don't its the newest driver and I don't even have Nvidia Control Panel.

I tried to install driver over nvidia expirience but got same error saying drivers are not compatible.

What is the card? Did it work before you tried to upgrade the drivers?

Also, there is a "Hardware detection tool" on the Nvidia drivers page. Go through that and let it detect your hardware.

EDIT - OR download GPU-z or similar, that will tell you exactly which hardware you have.

Oh I'm so sorry I though I mentioned it its gt 730, it worked before reinstalling windows. I dont see how will GPU-Z help anyway , I am 100% sure I have gt 730.

Ya have heard about some cheap counterfeit cards that are just modified versions of old ones, thought that might be the issue. BUT if GPU-Z has the same problem detecting your hardware, it might be a card or even a pci slot issue.

Obviously double check to make sure you are making the proper selections on the Nvidia page (card type, operating system, etc.).

Aye I will but the thing is I use this card for 2 years now :D The problem first time occurred like a few days ago when I installed new windows. I have tried many online solutions, none helped :D

Still nothing :/

Ya there may have been some windows updates that aren't playing nice with the hardware or drivers. And just because it's been working for 2 years doesn't mean it won't break tomorrow. But yes having said that due to the timing, the most likely culprit is Windows.

I guess make sure you do ALL the windows updates (even those "optional" ones), then see if it works.

Yep with Win7 some updates are dependent upon others...if you haven't updated in awhile it could be several rounds.

So...got about $100 for a new GT 1030? :??:

Otherwise, maybe try the card in someone else's machine?

Try downloading either an older driver or maybe a newer beta driver (both available somewhere on that nvidia download page)?

Physically remove the card, delete all drivers, start it back up just using the integrated graphics (just to force the system to "forget" the previous configuration), then start over?

Try to update drivers from the Device Manager (right click on device>update drivers)?

Upgrade to Windows 10?

That's about all I got, sorry you're having this issue, post back or message me if you eventually find the solution, I'm curious too.
