I just today got a strix 1080 and I have ran across a few problems
The graphics card has 1 6 pin connector and 1 8 pin connector and the only 1 I got was the 1 8 pin but the cable is really short. I’m not the best with installing parts as I’ve only got into it a few years ago but I’m just wondering if you need to plug the 6 and 8 pin connectors, as I currently have the GTX 1050ti and that needs no connectors.
Is it a problem to not plug them in or can I jst install it and then install the drivers please help.
Specs:
ADM Ryzen 1500x
B350 tomahawk motherboard
Corsair 550W power supply
2x 4gb Corsair vengeance RAM
I need to know if I need to buy an 8 pin connector and when to plug it with the short cable. Help me
