Hello,
I want to build a pc mainly for gaming. I also wish to stream. My budged is limited so i can only afford i5 8600k + GTX 1060 or Ryzen 5 2600 + GTX 1070. I know i5 8600k is beast and Ryzen 5 cannot beat it but if we add 1070 i'am not sure which one is better for gaming.. Thank you!

Solution
While the Ryzen chips IPC is a bit lower, 2nd Gen closed the gap some.

AND, for gaming alone - the stronger GPU should net greater performance anyway. Add streaming to the mix & the Ryzen + 1070 pairing should win, hands down.

Hello, thank you for clarifying!
Instead of Ryzen 5 2600, i can actually buy i5 8400 too. What you think about that?

8400 is a better choice for 1080p gaming vs 2600,
performance difference will get evened out the score @ 2k.

For strictly gaming (and stock vs stock clocks), the 8400 should performance a bit better - assuming 1080p.

BUT, at greater resolutions OR adding streaming to the mix, I'd still opt for the Ryzen5 2600*.

*Provided you pair the Ryzen chip with faster memory, of course (3000MHz+)

The fact that you want to stream puts the ryzen in front because of multi threading.
You will get a bit lower fps in games but better performance overall over intel when streaming (will have less impact on game when streaming)
At least that what I have read and see in benchmarks.
For gaming only and best performance intel would be better, because of streaming, ryzen would be better.
