I can't aford a new computer outright so i want to put my computer into a bigger case, my computer is a dell optipex 380 with a 2 Duo core prosser, with completely passive cooling, and 230 GB hard drive. I have a grafics card that will work with it but it is too big for my case I have a full sized dell case lined up, but i found a regular full sized case for far less. Can i put my computer in to a regular case or do I have to go with a dell case?

Note: I have taken apart and rebuild dell computers before but never moved them to new cases

The problem isn't so much the case, it's the Micro BTX motherboard layout. Those were designed to be office machines, and they intentionally made it hard to fit big GPUs in there. The CPU cooler will still be in the same place, and the 2 slot wide GPU will still have no slot next to it. BTX goes on the LH side of the case, ATX goes on the RH side, and the bolt pattern is different.
The Opti 380 came in several sizes. MT (tower) DT (Desktop), and SFF (small form factor). If you would say what version Opti 380 you have and what GPU you have I could try to help.
Mine has a Q9505S CPU 8 GB DDR3 RAM, and a GTX1050Ti GPU.

I have the DT and a single slot nvidia 1050ti and it has 4 GB of ddr3 ram

In the Opti 380 manual on page 43/44 they mention a full height card in the DT by using a riser card.

The Optiplex DT riser card is #5459 and you will want to get one that includes the bracket that turns the card 90*.

The only 1 slot GTX 1050Ti I know of is the Zotac Mini which is what I'm running.
A MB swap even into a Dell unless it's a 360/380 MT will be a real headache. The fornt IO cable and circuit board vary a lot, and the rear IO is built into the case so some metal work there. Other than that the Opti 745,755,760,330,360, 380 cases and PSUs themselves should be OK
But then again I got my 380MT for $20 complete. I haven't used the DT riser myself so I don't know how a 2 slot wide cooller will work with it.
