Hey guys, so I'm almost finished with my new build, all I need to do is connect the pwm hub 4 pin main connector to a chassis fan header, and the one that is the easiest to go into seems to be backwards. In the motherboard manual it says connect the black wire to the ground plug, but if I do it that way, the plug isn't lined up to the little notch and it wouldn't go in, so I had to turn it around to where the red plug is in the supposed ground for it to fit. The other fan headers are layed out the same way. Is this going to be ok?

Edit: It seems like I would have no choice here. Even on the CPU fan header it would be the red wire plugged into the apparent ground.

Solution
Normally wire colors donate polarity. In DC voltage red is hot, black is not. However, electricity could care less what color the wire is, so if it's wired backwards on the hub, wiring backwards on the mobo will still leave the +/- in the correct positions.
