So i want to upgrade my computer
My current pc is using AMD FX 6300 3.8 ghz with 1050 2gb GPU

I want to upgrade the cpu but i cant decide to choose between amd and intel
my first pick was i5-8400 but i was worried since intel change the socket every 2 generation

so i was thinking going into amd ryzen so i could upgrade my cpu in upcoming year

Which is better ? And should i upgrade 1050 2 gb to 1060 6 gb? i dont play heavy game or stream, i dont mind turning down the quality to low or medium..

I DONT want to overclock ..
i just need pc for gaming and daily life usage

Go for I5 8400 or Ryzen 2 2600x since AMD don't announce 2500x yet. even Intel Change the "Chipset" not "Socket", i5 8400 still has a Future Proof with 6 core :). and if you want to Alot Multitasking go for Ryzen 2600x :).
and for GPU, if you want to wait little longer, i suggest you to buy 1050, since Nvidia want to announce their new GPU 11 Series, same as like me, i bought 1050ti because of waiting for next 1160 :).

Pick the motherboard based on its features and ability, not price. Don't just go with the cheapest as it might not have all the things you need or want for your pc. What those needs/wants are, only you can say, but make a list of what the mobo has to have.

If you have need of 6 Sata ports or 4 Sata and m.2 port, don't buy a cheap mATX with only 4 data ports. If you need RGB controls, don't buy a plain board. If you have 5 fans, don't buy an mATX with just 1 spare fan header etc.
