I am currently using an X370 Taichi with a WD Green M.2 SSD. My friend gave me an extra Samsung EVO 970 yesterday and I figured that I have another M.2 slot. But after I plugged it in, the system does not recognize it, even in the BIOS. Is there any problem with the SSD or I have to something I do not know about dual SSD configuration?

Looking at your board specs https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X370%20Taichi/ It appears you have two m.2, one a PCIe gen 3/sata and the other is a PCIe gen 2. Make sure you have teh 970 in the PCIe gen 3 m.2 slot.

Worst case you can buy a cheap PCIe M.2 expansion card and try that.
