Secondary Harddrive Problem

So I have a 500gb laptop harddrive in my desktop with my OS on it. Whenever I attempt to plug in a second harddrive with extra SATA Data and Power cables, it says "operating system not found, please remove any harddrives without the os on it". Can someone please help? I've tried everything.

Enter BIOS and find section that deals with that, can't tell you more as I have no idea what MB you have. It should be in the manual anyway.
Should read something like "BOOT order".
