Hello!

My Epson stylus sx110 gives a rattling sound for 15-20 secs after power on. It looks like the scanner unit's head is unable to move. At win10 when i try to print i recieve a "General error "message, and advised to check whether something is stucked in the printer mechanics, and manually remove print jobs and try to turn off/on. Altough it pretty seems like its the scanner. The 3 lights: power, paper,a and ink flashing in sync 1sec on/1sec off, power in green, ink and paper in orange.

Is this model having a transportation lock somewhere, which may accidentally locked the scanner? I looked it quite much but i cant find it anywhere.

As i remember i succesfully used it 1-2weeks before.

Seemingly and hopefully not, i used it normally, and childs not played with it for example.
I read about how to remove unseen paper chunks: probably shaking it a bit upside down, or sweeping it with a bit harder and heavier one than an A/4 printer paper. Are these methods safe or good ideas?

I tried to move the printer head to the cartridge replacement position, but i not succeeded with it via the Epson driver, neither via the printer's buttons (despite i'm using this printer occasiaonally for some years and did this before, i'd cathegorize myself as an advanced+ user altough lesser at hardware and mechanics). The cartridge ink levels are succesfully read, and the are looking valid, no error message before trying to print. Also other options of Epson driver's maintaenance section (eg.: Nozzle check, Cartridge replacement position, Head cleaning etc) returning with a short, contentless error message, something like "An error occured". Probably they are unavailalble because improper initialization on the poweron. The print head moves at power on, but the scanner head is doing a small stutter (millimeters) right at the right side, looks like wants to move but unable.
The rubber band under the scanner's glass seems to be non-paralell, one half of it seems to be nice, other half seems to be almost orthogonal to the other, maybe its a problem.
