Is it worth upgrading from GTX 1050 Ti to 1060 6Gb?

Hi Im currently gaming on the 1050 Ti and Im happy with it but still would like to upgrade to a better GPU so i could easly do 60 fps at 1080p. My PSU only has a 6 pin connector so i can't buy 1070 or above but can buy some 1060 models that use the 6 pin. So Im asking if its worth upgrading or should i wait for the next generation?

This compares 1050 to 1060ti And if you wanna upgrade to the 1060 might give you more performance plus if you wait in near future you Might have to buy an new PSU if you wait for the next gen!

It is worth upgrading to the 1060 6GB, but not the 3GB model.

Keep in mind though that this would just be if you're planning to stick with 1080p. If you want to up the resolution, you're better off getting a better card.

1070 / 1080 is great for 1440p gaming, although if you plan to move up to 4k, you'll want a 1080 ti.

Personally, I would probably wait and save my money, then buy something better when the next-gen comes. 1060 is getting pretty old at this point.

The problem is, they keep pushing back the next-gen cards. They might not even come out this year.

1060 is a much more powerful card,
however, prices are pretty high, even though mining in gpu is dying.
you should wait either for the 1060 price to drop further or wait for the new one, however keep in mind midrange cards do get annourced till half year after the announcement of the new generation high end. so likely you have to wait 1 yr.
