Hello everyone,

I have recently found out that you can overclock your monitor quite easily, so I used the amd adrenaline software and set the custom resolution from 60hz to 75hz and then went into the windows advanced display settings and set the monitor to work at that refresh rate. I applied it and the screen went black for like 2 seconds and then popped up asking to save the settings so I assumed it worked. I then restarted the pc, the monitor said it was at 75hz and the windows display settings confirmed it. But when I went to test it on the ufo refresh rate tester it only showed 60hz. Why did windows allow me to set it if it doesn’t work? Or is it working but I just can’t tell?

Any insight on this would be very helpful! Thank you!

UPDATE: I tried using different browsers for the test and i found out chrome might have an outdated html5 protocol, so i used opera and firefox. Opera also said 60hz BUT FireFox showed 75hz on the test.
I also fired up fortnite and turned on vsync and it did lock at 75hz, i guess the UFO test isnt the best choice to test monitor overclock validity.

Hope this helps anyone else with this issue.
