I found a decently priced 1070 on eBay. I pm'ed the guy to ask if it was used for mining. "Yes, for two months."

How long do you think a card that's was used 24x7 using harsh nonstop settings would last in the AAA titles of today? The price was $300 bucks.

Just dont. Usually they are under stress 24/7 like on stress test tool, even harder sometimes than that, its risky, same for motherboard which has burned vrm's and still works.
Better go for card with a long warranty per usual.
Dunno about new GPU series would come out next month.

Saving $100 bucks for no warranty, and for a card that was definitely stressed (and was it REALLY only two months as claimed?) doesn't seem like a good tradeoff.

Currently the Founders Edition is available straight from Nvidia for $400, and of course has the full warranty.
