Guys ! I recently bought a brand new ASUS Dual RX 580 OC, this one :
https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics-Cards/DUAL-RX580-O4G/

But I figured out that my power supply which is a Thermaltake TR2 RX 550PP (550W) has only two
power connectors of 6pin pcie each.

My question is: could I buy a 6pin to 8pin adapter? or I need just to replace my entire power supply?? currently im running this PSU with a Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 OC Boost (Overclocked to 1120mhz core clock) and I never had any problems. Would that extra 2 pin make any difference?

Thanks for the time and help guys.

you could get an adapter that combines BOTH 6 pins into a single 8 pin if that's all the card needs. that would be safe to do. however, any of those molex or sata to 8-pin adapters are not a good idea at all. i'd avoid those like the plague!!!

they should be easy to find on newegg or amazon

edit: as scout noted you should have an 8-pin and a 6-pin so you should be good to go as is

I think there are adapters that convert 2 6-pin connectors into a single 8-pin. That should be safe, if you get a good quality one - though generally it's encouraged to have a power supply with the appropriate connectors rather than using such adapters.

Sometimes such adapters are included with the video card.

I'm hoping a few people can chime in on whether there are places to get good ones, vs which ones to avoid or are electrical hazards.

I have no personal experience on this, though.
