why is the "new stiped volume" option greyed out?

im trying to merge 2 of my ssds together (both pny cs900 240gb). so far i have only deleted the volume of the second one (disk 1) however when i right click it to try and create a new striped volume it is greyed out and i dont know why. i havent put a single bit of data on this new ssd yet so i shouldn't have anything that would make it different to any other sdd.

if someone could tell me how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated

will i be fine by just formating my ssd or resetting windows or do I have to remove everything and start from scratch including my os

The two SSDs would need to be combined into a RAID within the RAID controller management software/firmware, tyoically accessed thru the BIOS if using a mainboard's onboard RAID solution. These will be presented to WIndows as single drive if the RAID drivers are loaded into WIndows prior to selecting drives for install...
