Hi
I used to be able to play games on my ancient laptop (i5-3210m, geforce 640m, windows 10) on low settings. Yesterday I've launched a game after a 10 days or so break and it was a mix of stuttering and slow-mo. I used fraps to check the fps and it was 10 fps in the menu and 13-14 in the actual game. GPU load is 99-100% even in the menu. Isn't it weird that i get higher fps ingame than in the menu? Launched another game and in that game i was getting low fps even during intros with all the corporate logos (like ''nvidia - the way it's meant to be played'').
What i've tried:
- Switching in the bios between nvidia optimus and dedicated only graphics
- Updating nvidia driver
- Reverting to the default nvidia driver that comes from windows update center
- Disabling/enabling vsync in game settings
- Reinstalling windows
None of that helped. I don't get BSODs or screen artifacts. Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?
Thanks
