and in usb 2 not stop but have this sound https://vocaroo.com/i/s1QKe850jJrp

so what you think problem pcb?

my hard disk buy it before 3 month and now have important files on it i need to recovery it

i can see in disk mangment unknown not initialize

What brand is it ? You can go to manifacture's website and download tools there to see if you can recover the drive.

Most likely the drive is defective or the connector / cable.
If you can open up the case without damaging it, you might be able to plug it in directly in computer and retrieve the info on it. But if they know you open it it will void warranty.

Good luck

seagate external 4tb

not have any backup

That clicking sound is normally a failure of the arm, at least in my experience. It is interesting that it only happens on USB 2, although USB 3 can provide more power.

Is this a full sized drive or a portable drive?

A full sized external has its own power while portables normally pull from the USB (normally 5v).

OK so it is a portable drive so it uses power from the ports.

Maybe the Seagate rep can recommend something more than I can. My solution is to normally pull the drive apart and pull it out as they are almost always SATA drives with a SATA to USB converter and power PCB. Sometimes there is a power issue with the converter PCB and if you pull it out and put it into a dock or USB to SATA connector it might work.

That's my last resort though. Have you tried a different USB cable?

yes try other usb but same problem

you want me change pcb?

al3saloh, check to see if the drive is in warranty first in case you want it serviced (exchanged) in the future as you are in a location that is difficult for you to exchange it. Where are you located? If you have sensitive information on the disk and do not want to send it in to a recovery service, then it looks like you will need to do this "fix" under your own responsibility. Just letting you know that it could further damage the drive and make the information contained on it unrecoverable. It sounds like the arms and not the PCB but it is hard to tell really.
