Hi guys,
I am new to VPN and setting up VPN to access MyOfficeSharedFolder, hosted in Windows 10 PC. I am using Windows 10 VPN client, which connects successfully but not able to ping MyOfficePC. Anyway I can ping the OfficeRouter.
My setup are as follows:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MyOfficePC
(Windows 10)
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.11 (static)
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MyHomePC - VPN Connection properties are as follows:
(Windows 10)
PPP adapter office-ddns:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : (blank)
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : office-ddns
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : (blank)
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.59(Preferred)
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
8.8.8.8
NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In MyHomePC, I have configured Windows 10 built-in VPN client, connecting through no-ip ddns and VPN Type is set to automatic.
In MyOfficeRouter, I have configured as follows:
- port 47 & 1723 (TCP & UDP) forwarding
- DMZ enabled for MyOfficePC's IP, which is 192.168.0.11
I have read about this issue online and it could be the dns suffix problem as mentioned here.
But I'm not sure about the above solutions as it mentioned about domain name. Mine is standalone PC's in a workgroup.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
