I play most of my games in this temperature, between 39c-48c since as far as I know Haswell CPUs can rise up and down pretty quickly in terms of temps, so I take this is normal temperature for gaming? I use a custom power plans in control panel to reduce the overheat. I play games like SWTOR, Witcher 3, Rainbow Six Siege, Total War games etc, of course I lower the graphics in game settings, I also use custom power plans specific to my games to control the heat. But I never go above 50c. I watch my temps via Speccy
