So my friend told me the other day that i shouldnt get any razer products (keyboards, mice ect.). He told me that you have to program the keyboard like all other keyboards and when you play a game the keyboard sets it back to normal.. also he said that the program keeps shutting down. Is this really true? Should i get razer products?

Thank in advance.

I've been using the keyboard Razer Lycosa since 2012, and never had a problem.
Programming the keyboard probably referrs to recording a macro and assign it to a key. I have no use for macros, so I've never tried that function. My wife uses a Razer Naga mouse configured with macros, and she has never told me about any problems with keeping them.
Some people find Razer over priced and perhaps they are right, however when I bought my keyboard I wanted it for the backlight, which wasn't that common at the time, and I found the price being reasonable.

Used Razer products with no issues. The software may be a little clunky but it works. Had nothing like your friend claims, does your friend actually have any first hand experience of Razer products?

If Razer were as bad as your friend claims they would have gone out of business years ago.
