Hello dear Community,

I'm looking to buy some parts for a new computer. I've considered buying these:

  • MOBO: MSI Z370 A PRO
    CPU i5 8600k
    RAM Trident Z 2x8GB 3000MHz
First Question: Considering the rise of gpus' prices i'm keeping my GIGABYTE r9 280x 3GB OC Windforce edition. Would you think it would bottleneck my system too much?

Second question: What do you think overall of this system? Is it adequate for a 144Hz gamer on 1080p and lower resolutions? (CS:GO and Battlefield titles main

So considering the fact that i don't mind playing on low graphics settings, there shouldn't be a problem.

Not currently, no. Just depends how long you want to run the 280x. At some point certain games won't play well on it even at low settings. I just upgraded from a Sapphire 7970 (same card as 280x) to a 1080, and am quite frankly glad to have something that can easily play all games at max settings.
