I am going to build a gaming PC very soon. I decided to go with the 8600k and a budget motherboard - the ASRock Z370 Pro4. I want to overclock the CPU, however I don't know what cooler I should buy. My question is, how much can this motherboard overclock the 8600k? Amd also, should I buy the Be quiet Pure Rock or Pure Rock Slim?

I found this to be a brilliant vid which can answer your question, because I7-8600K is pretty much close to I7-8700K when it comes to OC. TLDR - answer seems to be yes - you can OC, however don’t expect 5GHz - that pretty much requires delidding your CPU. The main thing you need to know though from that vid is that you won’t be limited by that motherboard, only by your sample luck and Intel’s terrible thermal solution used inside.

That will be fine! If you plan to do extreme overclocks perhaps you would be better off with a higher end, but if just normal oc, you will be more than fine. Make sure you have good case air flow.
