New build:

Asus Prime A320M-K
Thermaltake 850W
Corsair H60
Ryzen 1700x
Cast - InWin 301

Board led (orange) lights up when connected to power source but pushing the boot switch does nothing. Have tried 3 (all new) motherboards and still same issue. (2 Primes and Msi B350M). All power connections are secure, HD led, Reset and Boot cables confirmed and set up properly +/-.

The fan's won't even power on...

Am i missing something or could it just be that the case switch not working?

Could be. Haven't you tried the system out of the case? Bread board it. Connect just CPU/cooler, PSU, memory, gfx card, monitor. Start the system by momentarily shorting the two pins on the MB that the pwr button would connect to. (be sure the board in laying on an insulated surface)
While the board is out of the case, check that there isn't an extra standoff installed that is not needed and possibly shorting out the back of the board when in the case.

There is also the possibility of the parts that are common between the three tests being bad as well, PSU's have a fairly high DOA rate as far as components go, and though it is rare the processor could be toast as well

That being said clutch seems to be on the ball.

Thanks for the suggestion - no luck though. pulled it out, set it up on an insulated surface and still can't get it to crank up/start a boot. Tried shorting the two pins, but nothing. Monitor was black.

And CRITThinker - I thought the PSU was the original culprit but hooked it up to my other PC and it worked... I wish it would have been that.

So I guess I'm about to pack up the case and send back...
