I bought a PC about a year ago brand new.
PC Specs:
GPU: GTX 1050
CPU: i7-7700
RAM: 16GB DDR4
OS: Windows 10
This has been happening for the past 6 months. I use two monitors. My monitors turn off randomly sometimes, often when I start up games like fortnite, or even browsing chrome. The screens go black for about 2-3 seconds, and turn back on straight away, showing the HDMI input is detected (as normal for a screen turning back on). Sometimes only one screen will turn off.
I have used different VGA, HDMI, and DVI cables, with no difference. I have updated and reinstalled my graphics drivers using Nvidia's Geforce Experience, multiple times, with no luck. I even purchased a brand new monitor, with the issue still persisting, and no change.
I have been given advice by a friend to perform a clean install on Windows, but I'm not sure this will help.
I downloaded GPU-Z to read and create logs on the graphics card's usage.
Here is the log of what happens when the monitor turns off for a few seconds:
It shows a spike in the GPU core clock, and the GPU memory clock, with a high GPU load one second before the core and memory clock.
I still have warranty on my pc. Should I send it back? Could this be caused by a fault on the gpu and the gpu only?
Thank you for reading, and I appreciate any feedback, advice, and I will answer any questions
