I have an msi gs63vr 6rf laptop and I just installed a 256 gb Samsung m.2 ssd in a previously empty slot. When I boot into BIOS if I go under storage information my 1 tb hard drive shows up as well as the new ssd but when I want to go into the boot options I can't find the ssd that I installed. The ssd also doesn't show up in disk management in windows 10 as well as device manager. What I'm trying to do is to install my OS on the ssd. Ive been struggling with this problem for 2 days now and any help will be greatly appreciated.

That model supports either an M.2 SATA SSD or an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.

NVMe SSDs do not appear within the BIOS until Windows creates the system partition with the EFI Boot Sector. Your M.2 SSD contains UEFI driver information within the firmware. By disabling the CSM module Windows will read and utilize the M.2-specific UEFI driver.

To install Windows on the M.2 SSD, you should remove all other connected disks.
Connect the Windows installation media and go to the BIOS and change the boot order to boot from the Windows installation media (USB or optical drive).
During setup Windows 10 will find the M.2 SSD.
