I just upgraded my motherboard to a Asus prime z370 a and my cpu to a intel i7 8700k. I want to do some overclocking but I don't know how to. So if you guys can help me out on overclocking or leave me some of the settings you put for overclocking I would appreciate it.

Solution

To start, I would recommend doing one or the other(not BOTH!) until you get it stable, THEN try overclocking the other.

I would suggest you go here:

and do a LOT of reading! Overclocking is an art and you just can't put in values that work for someone elses PC and expect them to work for you. Specific overclocks are NEVER guaranteed, You get what YOUR components can do, not what somebody else got with their components.

Okay, but I know imma mess something up and get pissed off when one of my components fry up

If you are that confidant in your overclocking abilities, then I suggest that overclocking is not a procedure you want to attempt.
The whole point of reading the tutorials is to start SLOWLY and make small changes, not just jump in with a predetermined value. Just because it worked for someone else doesn't mean it will work for you!
