Different issues when trying to oc with afterburner and precision

Hi everyone, i've been reading up on a lot of tips for overclocking not only my gpu but also my cpu to get the most out of my system and i'm just wondering if i could get some assistance. i'm currently running a gtx 1070 hybrid single gpu rig and trying to see if i can get more out of it rather than running 2 cards or upgrading (i know that upgrading is usually more beneficial in the long run but even with the cost of gpu's possibly coming down 20%, the difference in running a single 1080 seems almost insignificant vs dual 1070 hybrid.)

so anyway, heres my problem, when using precision xoc the sliders reset and my benchmark score plumits when i hit an invisible roof. however, when i'm using afterburner, i can take it to the point it becomes unstable and forces the bench to crash but i cant seem to prioritize temp over power %. i'm including a speccy of my rig, as well as, a snap of what i've managed to increase before crashing uningine superposition.

i'm not sure why the ram is saying unknown, but i'm running corsair vengeance ddr4 2166 CMK16GX4M2A2666C16

any help would be appreciated

That's what I'm saying, the ram speed and times are set in my bios but for some reason speccy isn't seeing it.
