so i got a pc with win10 home installted and i went and disabled some services (windows update, bits, superfatch, fax, print spooler, xbox stuff) and edited the registry just a little bit to turn off the windows defender
i did a little bit more but that what i can remember, anyway im facing an issue with this pc because he kept on freezing/hanging on windows 10 and 8.1 (where i disabled similar services)

has it something to do with that?

It could be... depends what services you stopped that you can't remember. IT might even be cause of black screens in reset process.

On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

Is Win 10 on its own hdd? Not on same one as win 8?

If you willing to do a factory reset, I would try a clean install instead as resets seem to break easily.

change boot order in BIOS so USB is first, hdd second
boot from installer
follow this guide: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html

when you reach the screen asking for licence, click "I don't have a key" and win 10 will continue to install and reactivate once finished

If you must disable services, do it...

If you must disable services, do it over a few days so if it starts freezing again, you can change the settings back to default to avoid it.
