Hello everyone and a good day.

My laptop here has a single DDR4 - 2400 4GB RAM from A-Data with a rank listed by CPU-Z as single (which I don't quiet understand). Now, I want to buy a Kingston value DDR4 - 2133 8GB RAM (KVR21S15S8/8). Basically, I don't have to ask you guys this question if all I ever wanted is to replace the 4GB A-Data RAM with this 8GB one BUT I still want to use the 4GB one in the same laptop since I kind of not liking the fact that the 4GB RAM will just be left in the corner unused. My question is, will there be issues such as "bricking" or incompatibility that I might face in the process?

I would be really grateful if my question is answered. Thank you.

Solution
You'll never know until you try, mixing memory sticks has many pitfalls and is unpredictable. Your best bet would be to find exact same RAM as you have now.
