I know this seems like more work than what it is worth, but this is what I have available to me.
I have a 2007 Mac mini with a dual core 1.83ghz and 3gb of ram. I also have a boat load of 1080p video I want to go through and edit with iMovie(Because thats the software I know and have). When looking at the video on the mac mini it overworks the system and all the video playback is choppy, which blows for video editing.
I was wondering if I ran a virtual machine with 4 cores and 12 gb and installed everything(a pain in a** I know) onto that, would that run smoother than an 11 year old mac?
