first off, i apologize for a question probably already answered, ive searched the forums and google and i cant find a clear answer

I have ordered a Samsung 970 Pro
i have a GA-Z270X-Gaming 7
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z270X-Gaming-7-rev-10#support-manual

In the manual it states:
(Note) The PCIEX4 slot shares bandwidth with the M2P_32G connector. The PCIEX4 slot operates at up to x2 mode when
an SSD is installed in the M2P_32G connector.

Does this mean it will only run at x2 mode with nothing other then my GPU occupying my Pcie slots? Because there is literally nothing but my 1080 TI occupying my PCIE slots.

If yes, im basically forced to use the M2M_32G (top Connector), disabling a Sata Port???

Solution
Then you have no issues using Samsung 970 Pro in M2P_32G slot.

Also using M.2 drive in upper M.2 slot M2M_32G would disable sata ports 4 and 5.
If you have 4 or less sata drives in your system, then using M2M_32G slot also wouldn't be a problem.
PCIEX4 is lower PCIE x16 slot (with x4 connection). Do you have anything plugged in that slot?
Using M.2 in M2P_32G will switch PCIEX4 slot into x2 operation mode.
If you have nothing plugged in PCIEX4, then usage of M.2 in M2P_32G impacts nothing.

Your graphics card should be plugged into upper PCIE x16 slot PCIEX16.
