Data error (cyclic redundancy check) When trying to Initialize disk

I'm running out of ideas.

I have about 45 drives that were previously used in a raid configuration.

They all failed to wipe, I plugged them into a windows machine and cannot initialize them, I get cyclic redundancy check error.

I then ran western digital lifeguard and it passed both quick and extended test, but wont erase.
I've tried formatting the first megabyte using using mkusb as well.

Lastly hard disk sentinel is showing the drive as having no errors and shows me all the correct information.

Any other ideas on what is wrong with these drives?
