I recently bought a 1060 to upgrade from 1050 without a psu cable port, this was my first time putting a psu cable into a gpu, my fears are i dont know if that cable is applying pressure or pulling down the the gpu because the cable wires are hard and barely bends... I dont know how to upload a pick.. Or am i just being paranoid

Solution
Just hold onto the card as you press the connector into the card's header. Be sure the latch on the connector is over the nub on the header so it won't back out. You should be fine.
You can also remove the card to insert the PCIe cable into the card's header if that is easier. Then reinstall the card into the PCIe x16 slot.
