Hi guys,
The issue I'm having is that my ps4 upload is 5 Mbps and my desktop computer can never achieve more than 3 Mbps upload. Both are connected to the same router via ethernet connection. Playstation is less than a meter from the router, the desktop is roughly 15 meters. I currently have a ethernet cable running through the house (about 30 metres in length) to connect my PC. I also have a Powerline adapter which when connected achieves the same download and upload speeds as when running the long cable through the house. Please note the test between PS4 and PC speeds were conducted 10 times each within 30 minutes.
Probably also worth mentioning that the desktop was achieving 5 Mbps upload over the weekend. My network adapter is Killer E2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller which is updated to the latest drivers. I have in the last week reformatted my computer so there are very few programs connected to the internet and using the monitor feature of the network adapter indicates nothing is uploading.
I jumped into my modem to check the speeds it is receiving in and out;
Assuming I understand this correctly, the Total Send in the Internet speed section in the above photo is an indication of my upload, now here is a speed from my desktop computer with a wire connection;
I just don't understand what is going on and I am trying to stream on twitch so the 2 mbps upload difference is quite considerable in terms of quality.
Appreciate any assistance!!!
