3 slots RAM issue please help!

I have 2x4gb ram which means it's 8gb.. i wanted to upgrade to 16gb so i bought one stick of 8gb ram.. i have 4 slots in my motherboard.. now the problem is I don't know where to put my 3 sticks of ram.. in which slots should i put theme and in what order? please help my pc is off now because of this

IF they work together, it doesn't actually matter which additional slot you use. I assume your 2x4GB kit is currently in the same "channel" slots on the board (typically 1&3 or 2&4, it'll be in your manual).... so you're going to be adding the 8GB to the second channel anyway.

I'd leave the existing kit where it is, and add the 8GB module to the easiest slot to access.
Put the 2x4gb in dual channel configuration. It doesn't matter much where the 8GB goes as such combinations are not guaranteed to work. If your lucky the machine may boot up.

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold and there are no guarantees on other combinations you decide to create.
