Is Overclocking GPU Safe?

I have a MSI GTX 1060 6GB. When I play The Crew 2 GPU temperature gets 70-74 degrees. I worry for it. Because I don't see more than 66 degreev temperature for my GPU. Then I overclock my GPU. I don't change any voltage settings. Only add core clock, memory clock and power. After doing Overclocking process max GPU temp is 65-66 degrees. And the game don't have any lag or stuttering (but before Overclocking have some lags).
I want to know that, is it safe?
(sorry for bad English)

Solution
Overclocking your GPU is usually safe if you take things slowly. If you start to enter the unsafe territory your GPU either show glitches or your PC will crash.
Heat is the biggest roadblock when overclocking and it looks you have that under control.
