Turbo boost on AMD a12-9720p?

Hi everyone. I'm sorry if I misplaced this thread but I can't find an answer anywhere.
So I just bought HP laptop with AMD A12-9720P CPU 2.7Ghz and as I know it should be turbo boost up to 3.6Ghz. However, there's not. I've tried installing overdrive but when I launch it I get that my processor doesn't support overdrive, then I updated all my drivers up to date but I get the same. Also tried entering bios but instead of usual bios I got HP pre-installed (as I think) bios.
Any ideas please?

1: You can open a chat with HP's support to see if they can enable it or confirm its locked out.
2: return it and get another that suits your needs better.
3: keep it and live with it.

You may want to google to see if that particular model# has an overheating issue even with the lack of turbo boost before you decide to go with #3
