Hello,

Recently I remembered that I have no internet on my virtual machine with windows server 2012 on vmware.

I need internet in there to be able to send email through the c# program I developed, but I only need it to work on Monday (my presentation is that day).

I have configured my virtual machine to use the host only adapter, with the IP: 192.168.161.3
My schools wireless network runs on 192.168.104.1/24 segment

Changing the IP on the virtual machine would be a pain in the ass, since I have the active directory and everything configured to that IP, does anyone know a way to share the internet on my wireless drive to the vmware host-only drive?

Thank you all

Solution
If you can run a router vm you can use a NAT and the ips you want. bridge the wan to the nic/adapter and add a lan bridge for the vm.

Could you explain a little more? I don't understand very much about networking, just programming...

Can you create virtual bridges and assign them to vms?
how ever you are getting the ip now should work for the wan.
You will need a bridge for lan that you can give to your vm.

Download ipfire and assign two bridges to it before starting the install. one for wan one for lan, note the mac addresses. let the wan pick up ips via dhcp. for lan use the subnet that you need for your vm. assign it a fixed leased.
