Hi, I know this has probably been done to death, but Im wondering If I should delid my I7-7700k.
I dont find the core temps acceptable at all.
RIght now Im getting around 83-85 degrees at full load with occt.
And this is with the default settings on my asus z270e gaming board.
If I activate the xmp profile, it will go higher.
Idle temps are at around 33-35 in windows.
The cooler I have is a Cryorig H5. I remove it two times to reapply thermal grease. Both times it looked good.
I find it strange that the cooler pipes/heatsink arent even getting hot. But the heatsink is making contact with the cpu. You cant even install this cooler incorrrectly.
So, delid or not ?
Maybe I got a bad chip.
