Computer Randomly Shutting Off - PSU Related?

First time here on the forums so please excuse any formatting issues or lack of information.

I purchased a new 1080 ASUS ROG Strix GPU back in November of 2017 and my computer has been running fine up until about a month ago. While playing Overwatch, my monitors would go black and the GPU fans would go to 100%. I could still hear and move around (I could hear the sound move as I moved my mouse) but the screens wouldn't come back on so I would restart the PC. I tried a new 6 pin connector from my PSU and it seemed to solve the issue... or so I thought.

Yesterday my PC completely restarted while playing Overwatch again. This time the screens just went black and the PC instantly restarted. Could this be PSU related? I have run a few 15min+ tests with FurMark and temps all look fine. The only reason I'm suspecting PSU is because everything ran fine when I first installed the new GPU and now that my PSU is ~4 years old, I'm thinking that it is running out of life. Below I'll list my parts. Thanks!!

GPU - Asus ROG GTX 1080 Strix (2017)
CPU - Core i7-4790k 4.0ghz (2014)
RAM - G.Skill TridentX 8gb + G.Skill Ares 16gb (2 8gb sticks [I know the speeds are different and that I'm not getting the full effect of the higher speeds]) (2014)
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI (2014)
PSU - Corsair CX750 750w Bronze (2014)
Case - Corsair Carbide Series 500R
OS - Windows 10

Solution
Got my PC running stable for the time being.

I wiggled some of the cables from my PSU to make sure that there wasn't a loose connection and found that my 24 pin connector to my Motherboard might have a short in it. My pc would shut off if that 24 pin cable moved at all. I never do well with cable management so the cable might have been kinked or bent in a weird direction for the past 3-4 years.

I ran the cable through my case properly and put a little tension on it so it couldn't move and re-connected it to my Motherboard and now it is working fine.

Thanks for the help everyone!

I don't have another PSU kicking around that I could swap in and play around with, nor do I have a Voltmeter/Multimeter.

Is there any software stress test that can measure voltage inconsistencies?

That makes sense. Is 4 years-ish normal for PSU issues? I know my 1080 is a next gen card compared to the 4 year old PSU but they don't draw that much power do they? I thought they were, if anything, more efficient than my old GTX 770.

Thank you, just wanted a 2nd opinion and another set of eyes to make sure that I wasn't missing anything with my current set up.
