How y’all doing. I am building a budget PC for light-medium gaming on medium-high graphic settings. I am getting an Intel Pentium G4560 which allows me to have 64gb of DDR4 2133/2400/2800mhz however it also allows me to have DDR3L 1600mhz. I could save almost 100$ by getting the DDR3L and I’ll be getting double the memory. What should I do? And why?

My PC build in progress:

Antec PSU 80+ Bronze 550w
(No choice of motherboard yet)
(Ram/memory no choice yet)
Intel Pentium G4560 Dual Core 3.5
PNY GeForce GTX 660 2Gbs Gddr5
(My case is a sleeper lol)
500GB Western Digital 7200rpm
Windows 10 Home edition.

Yea I know lol, I was only stating that I COULD have 64gb. I understand that 8gb is standard with 4gb being minimum yet slow. I’m only going to put 16gb in. And also, ok thanks, I’d didnt know whether the speed would be better than the quantity.

The ddr3 is fast too and if you get two stick of 8gb, you will have dual channel also. Just look at the motherboard manual as to where to put the ram sticks for dual channel, usually 0 and 2 or 1 and 3 banks.
