I have a 1TB WD My Passport Ultra, and in the past few days I've had some weird issues with it. I've tried two different computers running Win10, and both have similar results.
My computer seems to be able to detect the device, however I can't see the drive in explorer. The drive sort of exists: if I do "cd D:" in cmd, it hangs. If I use any utility that tries to access the device, such as WD Data Lifeguard or "chkdsk" (chkdsk shows no output at all, though it did say the disk was RAW at one point when I force stopped it), it also hangs those programs. In fact, my computer has trouble booting and shutting down when the HD is plugged in.
I've also tried two different micro USB 3.0 cables and a 2.0 cable, with no difference.
The HD was working fine a couple of days ago, and I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this kind of issue, and if there is anything I could do to resolve it.
