Hi, my bios can detect my hdd, but when I try to format my pc it cannot detect my HDD. When I hold my HDD while pc is on I feel some heat at something is spinning which is the fan. I also try switching sata ports. I also check the bios and it is fine. I created a boothable usb windows 7 premium at my laptop which it has a virus(shortcut virus). Do you guys think it is something to do with the files inside the flashdrive?

1: Have someone else make the bootable win7 USB for you. Let them know the flashdrive probably has a virus on it so then can disable AutoRun before they plug it in.
2: Resolve the virus issue on your laptop.
3: How are you trying to format your HDD?

most newer amd and intel chipset will not boot from a windows 7 usb stick. use windows media creation tool and make a windows 10 boot usb stick. boot from it if it sees your hard drive then it missing chipset drivers in the windows 7 usb stick. if you have a newer amd mb and cpu. you can download the chipset drivers for the mb from amd unzip them and the nuse a progrma called 7lite if you can still find it to make an updated iso image. with windows 10 you cna try and use your windows 7 key to activate it durning the install. if not click skip and it still run but with a message you need to activate it on the lower right side of the screen.
