Can I use my gpu while plugging my monitor to motherboard

Hi I use a gtx 1050 ti Although I plug my monitor to the motherboard because it only has a vga port in it I noticed that fortnite uses the gpu instead of my igpu is there a way to make other games run like that because I will get a monitor in the end of 2018

No. To take advantage of the GPU you have to use the ports on the card. Maybe the game is using it for physics or something but it isn't taking full advantage.
You can buy an active HDMI to VGA adapter or active displayport to VGA adapter.
