So the case is I used to have 4x1GB DDR2 RAM (800 MHz) and I bought 3x2GB of RAM (also running at 800 MHz) Since I bought it every game I play has lag spikes (DiRT 4, San Andreas, Fallout New Vegas etc.) I made a pretty bad video about it, with my phone, because I didn't want any recording software to slow down the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbYRU3MB6Q4&feature=youtu.be
Specs:
Asus M3A78-VM
AMD Phenom II X4 940
6GB DDR2 RAM (Samsung 2RX8 PC2 6400U)
Gigabyte Geforce GT 1030 GGDR5
Enermax Maxpro 600W

Solution
ddr2 ram is very inexpensive go crazy and match all four sticks. 4 x DIMM, Max. 8 GB, DDR2 1066*/800/667/533 ECC,Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel memory architecture
*Due to AMD CPU limitation, DDR2 1066 is supported by AM2+ CPU for one DIMM per channel only.
*Refer to www.asus.com for the memory QVL (Qualified Vendors List)
