I've been using a flash drive to watch movies and TV shows but recently I saw people using HDD on TV. later i found out in order to use HDD on TV, TV should have a 5v 1.0A USB port which my TV doesn't have.

now i g2 ask is there internal or external SSD that works on 5V 0.5A USB port on TV?

what i understand is SSD consumes less power.

Solution
Yes SSDs use less power. Try getting a powered USB hub, I have one sitting on my TV and it works. At least on my model, but chances are good it will work on yours. I have 2 flash drives and a USB keyboard dongle in my hub, and it also worked with a standard drive (not SSD) but only when nothing else was on it. I got this model https://www.amazon.com/USB-3-0-Hub-Charging-Individual/dp/B00VK9C24M/ref=pd_sbs_147_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00VK9C24M&pd_rd_r=f48497a8-8381-11e8-94ad-0d6a86c107a2&pd_rd_w=erNs8&pd_rd_wg=REYhO&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=5825442648805390339&pf_rd_r=ZQCY5PS47CGJJENCHZMZ&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=ZQCY5PS47CGJJENCHZMZ Actually have 3 of those, at work, my home...
