I was womdering if ddr4 ram will work the dell optiplex 790 alsohow much of a difference will adding 8gb of ddr4 ram will do my current specs is intel core i3 2100 4gb of ddr3 ram and a amd radeon hd 7570 what will be the framerate diffrence in games like fortnite?

You can't use DDR4 in your PC, look here. Neither your motherboard nor your CPU are compatible.

The Dell OptiPlex 790 Specs is 2nd gen LGA1155 Socket system, that uses DDR3 RAM... DDR4 is incompatible. But, 8 GB or more of DDR3 RAM should make it come alive.

Sadly, it is your GPU that is limiting your computer in games. Although 4gb will help a little, it won't help as much as a better GPU.
