Hello! I am building a low price gaming rig for my little brother and I am pimping out an Optiplex 960 as far as it can go. I really want to use this motherboard and CPU because I had it laying around so please help me out. I have been trying to install windows 7 from a USB iso file. I have been burning the ISO file onto the USB drive on my MacBook Air. Then plug them into the pc and it will not boot up. I tried putting a gaming Linux distro on and it worked fine. But I do not want to keep a gaming Linux distro on this gaming rig for obvious reasons (lack of compatibility). The computer boots to BIOS but then it won't go past the Press f1 to continue press f2 to setup etc. It just beeps when I press it. What am I doing incorrectly? His birthday is tomorrow so I need a fast answer to thank you so much!

Ok first you do know that all the data on the usb will be lost, so make sure its empty or move the files.
Download 7-Zip here, make sure the computer your downloading 7-Zip on is 64 bit or 32 bit if the computer your using to make the bootable usb is 32 bit download the 32 bit version of 7-Zip if it is 64 bit download the 64 bit version of 7-Zip
1. Go here and download the exe then run the setup
2. Then go here and download Windows 7 Ultimate X64 make sure its X64
3. Then you go to the Yumi Multiboot and select... im not sure yet, when I get home I will redo all the steps so I can remember, but while you wait for me, do the steps above, It will work 100% I did this to my usb drive, and I made all the boot files hidden...

I dont think you can use 7 zip on macbook if your using it to make the bootable usb, make sure you use another windows computer to do what im telling you. also just to make things clear, what im telling you are the steps to make a usb drive that you can plug into a computer to boot it and run the setup that is on it, so that the computer can run windows 7. if this is what you want let me know. OH AND YOUR F1 issue, I had it too before, just open the computer and slightly wiggle the ram, if it doesnt work then just remove the ram and put it back in, if after you remove the ram the screen just stays black just turn it off wiggle it turn on, repeat until works, thats what I do when I have problems, works all the time
