so i have the samsung evo 860 ssd and ive succesfully managed to clone my os into it using samsung data migration and i changed the boot option on the setup screen as well(by pressing f2) and so i think it does boot up from it but my old os still shows on hard drive when i open my pc and check my drives..so how do i make the old os disappear???...do i simply format it or is there a proper procedure to remove it?

Solution
Make sure you format the correct drive :)
Quick Format = few seconds can recover files easily
Slow Format = takes a long time, harder to recover files
But since you don't want to recover files, you can just use the quick one and you will be fine.
By your old OS shows you mean the files from it? Yes it will all be there since cloning just copies the files, it does not delete them from the drive. Formatting the original drive will work to wipe the stuff off it. But you may want to consider keeping it there as a backup, especially your user files.

there's nothing important in it so i just want to clear up the space...if i format it will it completely clean the drive or will those windows files still stay?

A format will remove any files on it (well as much as a format does, it mostly just makes them invisible from the operating system).
