Hi everyone,

I recently buy a Samsung SSD 970 evo to upgrade my laptop Samsung X41 (np300e5k-xf3br). I've trying to install this device about a two months and, for now, I did not succeed to do that.

All my drives and my BIOS firmware are updated, I've tried removing and put back the SSD in my motherboad, I've tried setting the boot control to UEFI and CMS, and just UEFI, nothing seems to work. This device is not recognized in any part of my BIOS or windows.

When I try to install the driver provided by Samsung, i've got this message: Samsung NVM Express Device is not connected. Connect the Device and try again.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Assuming your computer's M.2 slot is NVME, and not standard SATA? (I have difficulty pulling up English specs for this part number, appears to be primarily in Portuges?)

Until we can at least get it to show up in the BIOS, drivers are irrelevant.

Search your BIOS for anything NVME related, perhaps there is a software switch for enabling it, possibly at the expense of a SATA port...or two.
