With no gaming you don't need much for those tasks, I put a SSD into the build as it will help out drastically over a HDD as far as the speed of the system.

do you have the webcam / monitor /keyboard/mouse?

i choose the intel platform because though 2400g will give you better processing power, it's too much trouble since b450 or cheaper boards are not out yet.

16gb should be plenty for office/word documents, it's better to go with more memory than less memory.

the i3 8100 is a very good chip (4 physical core) and should allow you to handle multitask (browsing, office, video calls) quite well.

As long as your internet is good you'll be fine with the G5400 for the webcam, it's also hyperthreaded so it's actually a dual core with 4 threads.

If I was to add a gpu to this build(probably would need a new case) would I be able to play games like world of Warcraft or even newer games on it?

When you add a GPU, hopefully stronger than the inbuilt Vega graphics, this will take the role of the 1200 as a CPU and support whatever GPU you add.
